How to unlock the Mistmare

Complete Upgrade Hayden's Barn.

Sleep until the windstorm setup scene plays.

Offer 100 Essence at the Horse Statue.

Mistmare is unlocked as your default mount.
Mistmare perks
The Horse Statue sells these three perks after the Mistmare is unlocked.

Your Mistmare now runs 10% faster.

When your Mistmare runs over a forage spot or a fully grown crop, it will pop from the ground.

The appearance of large animals can now be unlocked at 5 Hearts to ride them.

Nice Ride lets you use one of your own adult large animals as a mount once it reaches 5 hearts.
