Fields of Mistria Wiki

Crop Planner28

Compare every Fields of Mistria crop by growth days, regrowth, seed cost and gold per day, so you can pick the most profitable planting for the season ahead.

Season

Day of the season (a season is 28 days). A crop planted too late to ripen before the season turns cannot be harvested and drops out of the ranking.

How this works

How to read the ranking

The table sorts each season's crops by gold per day — how much one tile earns while it is growing. It is worked out as (money from selling the harvests minus what the seeds cost) divided by the number of days the tile is used. A cheap, fast crop can easily beat a slow, expensive one, so the ranking often disagrees with what the sell price alone suggests.

The value uses the shipping-bin price. Selling to a shop pays differently, and turning a crop into a cooked dish often pays more than either — check the recipes before you ship.

Replanting is already included. A crop that disappears at harvest is sown again the same day, and every replanting costs another seed until the season runs out. A regrowing crop is planted once and charged once, however many times you harvest it.

Each row's harvest strip draws the season's 28 days: the dark cells are the days you pick the crop and the outlined cell is the planting day. A crop that stays in the ground and re-ripens shows that rhythm as repeated dark cells, which is why it needs only one seed.

Read the money columns left to right. Unit price is what one harvested item sells for in the shipping bin; total revenue is that price times how many items the crop yields this season; seed cost is what the seeds cost; profit is total revenue minus seed cost, and the ranking uses that profit split over the days the tile is occupied. In the regrow interval column a dash means the crop is picked once and disappears, so it is replanted — and repays another seed — after every harvest.

Why set the planting day

The slider sets the day of the season (1–28) on which you actually plant. Move it to today's date in the game and the list answers: "what still has time to grow?".

That matters because out-of-season crops are cleared the night the season turns — a ripe one drops its harvest first, but a half-grown one dies and only gives fibre. A crop planted too late is not a slow return, it is no return at all. Anything that cannot ripen by day 28 disappears from the ranking, which is why a slow, valuable crop falls off the list when you plant late.

Not just gold

Plenty of crops are worth growing for reasons the gold column does not capture. Many flowers are loved gifts, several crops are the only source of a cooking ingredient, and some are needed for museum donations or quests.
