How this works
The Mistria year
Each season is 28 days, so a year is 112 days. A day runs 15 real minutes at the standard pace, or 16.5 and 18 at the two slower settings.
The first in-game week has a scripted forecast: calm, calm, calm, inclement, calm, special, then heavy inclement. Weather is rolled per season after that. Spring and autumn each get 4 to 6 windy days, while summer and winter get none. This leaves a narrow window for wind-dependent legendary fish.
Planning around dates
Birthdays are the highest-value dates on the calendar. Any gift is worth an extra 20 heart points that day, so a loved gift gives 40 instead of 20. Plan a week ahead because many loved gifts are seasonal crops or forage.
Four festivals are implemented, one per season. Villagers keep their normal routines otherwise, so the calendar is mostly about birthdays and about which season a crop or fish belongs to.
