The four festivals, and how to win each one
Every festival date, what each one asks you to do, and the score thresholds that unlock the best rewards.
The short answer
Fields of Mistria has four festivals: Spring Festival on Spring 17, Shooting Star Festival on Summer 28 at the Summit, Harvest Festival on Fall 10, and Animal Festival on Winter 10. Three of them score your entry and pay tiered rewards, while the Shooting Star Festival is a social event after 8pm.

All four are fixed dates every year, so they repeat annually. The calendar page shows the full year at a glance, including birthdays.
Spring Festival (Spring 17)
The festival is preceded by a small quest: collect a Breath of Spring before the day. On the day, you present entries that get scored, and the reward ladder pays tiers:
- Score 10 or more: a festival planter
- Score 30 or more: a higher tier
- The top bands pay the best festival furniture
The exact items and their score thresholds are on the calendar page. Like the other scored festivals, what you enter matters more than how much — check what the festival judges before handing things in.
Shooting Star Festival (Summer 28)
The most social festival, held at the Summit after 8pm. It has no scored entries — instead, it is a date event: the festival is one of the game’s three event dates, so you can bring a partner and it counts toward the date-photo collection. It also plays into the romance system, since the Shooting Star is one of the nine keepsake photos (romance guide).
Harvest Festival (Fall 10)
The other big scored festival. It begins with a quest to collect a queen berry, and on the day you present produce for judging:
- Score 10+: a festival centerpiece
- Score 30+: the next tier
- Top bands pay the best rewards
The Harvest Festival is also a Saturday in some years — and the Harvest Dance is one of the event dates, so it can combine a dance with a festival. Note that event dates consume neither the weekend slot nor the partner cooldown, so a Saturday Harvest Festival still leaves that Saturday’s ordinary date available (romance guide).
Animal Festival (Winter 10)
The animal-judging festival. Enter your best animal; the score comes from its tier and heart level, so a high-tier, high-heart animal is what wins:
- Score 35+: plushie rewards (chicken, duck and others)
- Higher bands pay more plushies and the top prizes
The animal festival is the reason to breed toward higher tiers — the breeding guide and the ranching page both explain how tiers and hearts are raised. Entering an animal with max hearts and a high tier is the difference between the base and top reward bands.
Festival prep habits
- Check the calendar at season start. Festivals are fixed dates; plan around them (calendar).
- Read the quest first. Spring and Harvest festivals have a pre-quest (collect a specific item) — start it early, the item may need a few days.
- Keep your best stuff for judging. A top-tier animal, the best produce, the rarest fish — whatever the festival scores, save your best entry rather than shipping it.
- Use the festival for dates. The Shooting Star and the Harvest Dance are event dates with their own photos, so a festival is a good excuse to invite a partner.
