Void items and the true endgame

What void materials are for, why they only appear late, and what the game offers once the mines story is finished.

The short answer

Void materials — void stone, void powder, void herb and void pearl — only appear in the mines after you unlock Void Sight, and they feed three endgame goals: the Ruins Seal, the Dragon Forge, and the game\u2019s strongest gear. After the final seal, the Friday Night at the Inn storyline and the museum completion quest open up.

What void materials are

Four void items sit at the end of the game’s economy: Void Stone, Void Powder, Void Herb and Void Pearl. They do not appear on the normal mine forage tables — the mines simply do not show them until you have the Void Sight ability, which the priestess grants once you reach the Ancient Ruins. After that, void nodes appear throughout the mines and the items start flowing.

Three things consume them:

  1. The Void Mass quest — 5 each of all four void items, offered at the cauldron in the Void Seal room, to create the decoy that makes the Ruins Seal breakable.
  2. The Dragon Forge — the forge’s recipes take void materials alongside essence; the essence guide has the forge’s full recipe list.
  3. Crafting and requests — void versions of furniture and gear, plus request board items that ask for void produce.

The gear that comes with the endgame

Void materials and the Dragon Forge unlock the top tier of equipment:

The corrupted-mistril gear (Corrupted Mistril Sword and the corrupted armor set) is a separate, cheaper branch at 4,500–900g per piece, and the perfect mistril ore is a rare bonus find. The item database lists every endgame item with its exact source.

What opens after the final seal

The final seal at floor 100 is the end of the mines story, but the game keeps going:

  • Friday Night at the Inn — a new storyline that starts after the mines story finishes.
  • The complete-the-museum quest — finishing every museum set pays 20 renown, 10,000g and the Mini Museum Blueprint. The museum guide tracks all 82 sets.
  • Mistril town rank — the renown cap is 100, and reaching it is the game’s last big goal (renown guide).
  • Marriage and children — the romance system’s endgame opens at 10 hearts with proposals, weddings and family planning (romance guide).

Honest notes on the void grind

  • Void items are gated by story, not by luck. Before Void Sight, they do not exist; after it, they drop steadily. If you cannot find any, the answer is almost always “unlock the ability first”, not “farm harder”.
  • The Void Pearl is the request-board favourite. Several endgame requests ask for it, so it is worth keeping a stack instead of selling.
  • The void economy is endgame by design. None of it matters for the first two seasons; plan around it only once the mines story is underway.
